Chronic Crisis-Manufacturing as Aliveness-Simulation Wrong Attractor: The Emergency Architecture, Ordinary-Presence Foreclosure Basin, and the Return to Calibrated Stable Engagement

This is the record, not the paper. The work itself is the deposit on Zenodo, under the DOI below. What follows is its abstract, as deposited.

Chronic crisis-manufacturing designates a behavioral and affective pattern in which the subject compulsively generates emergencies, interpersonal dramas, and acute stressors as a substitute for genuine aliveness when ordinary presence has become intolerable. We integrate this pattern into the displacement framework by modeling it as a wrong attractor W in state space: a locally stable configuration that captures trajectories deflected from ground state S^0 by accumulated displacement = D()\,dt.

The emergency architecture—the system of cognitive, somatic, and relational mechanisms sustaining the attractor—is analyzed in terms of arousal regulation, narrative compulsion, and interpersonal recruitment. The ordinary-presence foreclosure basin is characterized geometrically: its depth, width, and the energy barriers separating it from W and from S^0. We derive nine formal propositions governing crisis-manufacturing dynamics, including threshold conditions for attractor capture, the paradox of relief-reinforcement, and the asymmetry of exit.

A return protocol toward calibrated stable engagement is specified, with attention to the discomfort gradient that must be traversed and the partial attractors encountered along the route. Clinical and phenomenological implications are discussed, with attention to histrionic personality organization, adrenaline-seeking dispositions, chaos addiction, and trauma re-enactment. The framework reframes compulsive crisis-generation not as a character defect but as a displacement solution that once served legitimate arousal-regulation needs and must be replaced rather than simply suppressed.
