The healthy ground state S^0 is defined as metabolized assertion: the capacity to experience anger, process it through the body and mind, express what needs expressing proportionately, and release it — so that anger informs without possessing.

W_CLA is rigorously distinguished from intermittent explosive disorder (explicit anger disorder), depression with anger features, and appropriate sustained anger at ongoing injustice.
