Chronic Resentment as Injustice-Archive Wrong Attractor: The Grievance Accumulation Loop, the Cost of Not Forgiving, and the Return to Released Claim

Rincón, D. · 2026 · Zenodo · injustice-archive wrong attractor

This is the record, not the paper. The work itself is the deposit on Zenodo, under the DOI below. What follows is its abstract, as deposited.

This paper applies the Displacement Framework to chronic resentment, analysing it as a wrong-attractor state in which an archived injustice is repeatedly re-experienced through re-sentire (re-feeling), keeping the original displacement cost active. Using displacement cost D(ξ), accumulated displacement Φ, and basin geometry, we formalise the grievance accumulation loop and show how each re-experiencing reinforces the archive and raises the cost of releasing the claim.

Nine propositions characterise the accumulation mechanism, the re-sentire loop, physiological costs, victimhood identity lock-in, and return paths through forgiveness as claim-release (Enright and Worthington models). Published as part of The Phronesis Issues preprint series.
