Chronic Rushing as Time-Scarcity Wrong Attractor: The Acceleration Architecture, Present-Engagement Foreclosure Basin, and the Return to Calibrated Temporal Spaciousness

Chronic rushing constitutes a stable attractor in the landscape of temporal experience—a self-reinforcing dynamic in which the subjective perception of time scarcity generates the behavioral patterns that perpetuate and deepen that scarcity. This paper applies the displacement framework to analyze chronic rushing as a wrong attractor W relative to the ground state S^0 of calibrated temporal spaciousness: the condition in which an agent inhabits time proportionately, engaged with the present moment at a pace commensurate with the actual demands and intrinsic value of experience.

We define a displacement cost function D() measuring the experiential and functional penalty incurred at each moment of sustained rushing, and integrate this cost as the accumulated time-scarcity experience = D()\,dt. Nine formal propositions characterize the wrong attractor's structure, the foreclosure of present-engagement that defines basin depth, the phase transitions governing entry and exit, intervention geometry, recovery dynamics, systemic propagation effects, and the ethical valence of time-scarcity as a structural wrong inflicted both on self and others.

We argue that return to S^0 requires not time-management technique but a reorientation of the agent's fundamental relationship to duration—a displacement reversal that is architectural before it is behavioral.
