In its calibrated form, S^0_ CFSV (Calibrated Fair Self-Valuation), this estimate is accurate and responsive to evidence: the person neither systematically inflates nor systematically suppresses their assessment of what they bring and what they are owed.
Chronic undervaluing is reconceptualised here within the Displacement Framework as a wrong attractor W_ CU: a stable configuration in which the agent habitually underestimates their own worth, chronically underprices their labor and contributions, undercharges for their services, underestimates their capacities, and disclaims legitimate achievements. This is categorically distinct from modesty as social performance.
Chronic undervaluing operates at the level of the internal worth-register itself—the architecture through which the agent translates their actual value into what they ask for, offer, and accept. Four primary mechanisms sustain W_ CU: chronic underpricing, undercharging, underestimating, and disclaiming. These are not independent habits but components of a unified worth-suppression architecture in which the self's actual calibrated value is systematically discounted before it reaches expression.
A formal dynamical model is developed in which self-assessed worth W(t), the social confirmation field F(t), and accumulated under-receipt U(t) evolve in mutually reinforcing cycles that deepen the attractor basin.
