Compulsive protein-optimization—the behavioral pattern of relentless macro-tracking, protein-target anxiety, and the subordination of appetite to numerical quotas—is analyzed as a wrong attractor W_prot within the displacement framework. Starting from the ground state S^0, defined as calibrated, present, unforced engagement with somatic signals, we show that macro-tracking constitutes a stable self-reinforcing basin that forecloses the very signals it purports to optimize: hunger, satiety, embodied nutritional intuition, and trust in the body's own computation.

The accumulated displacement = D()\,dt grows silently while the practitioner experiences the wrong attractor as health. We ground this argument in the nutritional science of Columba livia (rock pigeon), whose amino acid self-selection behavior—documented across the tradition from Richter's nutritional wisdom studies through Raubenheimer and Simpson's geometric framework— demonstrates that somatic computation is sufficient for precise macronutrient regulation.

The pigeon tracks nothing; it eats. Nine formal propositions characterize the wrong attractor's structure, its foreclosure basin, the accumulation dynamic, and the conditions under which return to S^0 becomes possible. We conclude that calibrated embodied eating is not a relaxation of rigor but its deepest form.
