Microplastics as Biospheric Displacement: Planetary Contamination, Endocrine Wrong Attractors, and the Vegan Return Path

Rincón, D. · 2026 · Zenodo · biospheric displacement

This is the record, not the paper. The work itself is the deposit on Zenodo, under the DOI below. What follows is its abstract, as deposited.

We apply the Displacement Framework to microplastic (MP) contamination, formalizing it as the largest-scale physical displacement in Earth's biological history. The total plastic mass Phi_plastic = integral from 1950 to T of P(t)dt is approximately 10^10 tonnes — a strict monotone increasing functional representing irreversible biospheric displacement. Four formal propositions are derived: (1) endocrine disruption as chemical wrong attractor, where BPA, phthalates, and PFAS bind nuclear receptors and displace hormonal ground states at nanomolar concentrations; (2) strict monotonicity of Phi_plastic with proof that return is structurally blocked by economic wrong attractors; (3) necessary conditions for biospheric return; and (4) the vegan return path theorem, showing that plant-based diet reduces individual MP exposure by 10^1-10^3 fold by eliminating trophic bioaccumulation.

The paper documents MPs in human blood (Leslie 2022), placenta (Ragusa 2020), brain tissue (Nihart 2024), testicular tissue (Zhao 2023, 23% sperm decline correlation), and breast milk (Ragusa 2022). The deepest insight: the organism's sensory and cognitive apparatus, developed within the displaced state, lacks the reference signal required to register the displacement.
