Periodic Displacement Clearance: Toxin Accumulation, Biological Rhythms of Detoxification, and the Ground State of Clean

Rincón, D. · 2026 · Zenodo

This is the record, not the paper. The work itself is the deposit on Zenodo, under the DOI below. What follows is its abstract, as deposited.

The displacement framework introduces _toxin = D(_toxic)\,dt as accumulated displacement over time. The body does not passively accumulate toxins without response: it deploys periodic, rhythmically organized clearance systems that reset _toxin toward zero. We survey these systems across timescales from hours to months: the glymphatic system (nightly brain metabolic clearance), hepatic phase I/II detoxification (fasting-window modulated), autophagy (mTOR-inhibition-triggered cellular self-eating, 16h fasting), gut mucosal renewal (3–5 days), skin cell turnover (28 days), menstrual endometrial shedding (28-day cycle), eccrine sweat-mediated heavy metal clearance (exercise-coupled), and tear-mediated stress hormone clearance (emotionally-coupled).

We formalize each as a periodic clearance event C_k with characteristic period _k, clearance efficiency _k, and substrate specificity S_k. The ground state of clean – minimum _toxin – is not achieved by any single clearance system but by the synchronized operation of the full multi-timescale hierarchy. We further analyze the plant-based dietary contribution: reduced accumulation rate through elimination of dietary advanced glycation end-products, dioxins, and bioaccumulated heavy metals, combined with enhanced clearance through fiber-accelerated gut transit, polyphenol-mediated liver enzyme induction, and superior hydration-dependent clearance kinetics.
