We apply the Displacement Framework to play, defining it structurally as voluntary entry into bounded displacement with a guaranteed return path. S0_play is the secure baseline that makes play possible: you cannot play from survival mode. Play deprivation is Phi_deprivation accumulation. Pretend play is voluntary entry into a counterfactual attractor. Rough-and-tumble play with its play signal marks the structural boundary between bounded and unbounded displacement.
Flow states are optimal attractor alignment. Screen time versus active play is analyzed as low-demand stimulation versus basin-building voluntary displacement. Stuart Brown's clinical evidence for play deprivation is formalized.
