Puberty as Ontogenetic Ground State Transition: Hormonal Displacement, Adolescent Attractor Instability, and the New S0

Rincón, D. · 2026 · Zenodo · ontogenetic ground state transition

This is the record, not the paper. The work itself is the deposit on Zenodo, under the DOI below. What follows is its abstract, as deposited.

We apply the Displacement Framework to puberty, modeling it as a programmed ontogenetic ground state transition from S0_child to S0_adult. The HPG axis (GnRH, LH/FSH, sex steroids) is formalized as the ontogenetic forcing function. The pubertal instability window — when both attractor basins are shallow — is identified as the period of maximum wrong-attractor vulnerability: eating disorders, depression, substance use, early sexual exploitation, and identity rigidity all concentrate here.

Adolescent risk-taking is reframed as necessary new-S0 calibration. Precocious and delayed puberty are analyzed as boundary-condition failures at the transition.
