Social Systems as Displacement

Institutions claim ground states (democracy, health, justice) but operate in actual states (plutocracy, profit, power). The gap is displacement. Those who see it pay cognitive cost. Fixing the gap is catastrophically expensive. Systems stay displaced for centuries, maintained by mythology and punishment of clarity. The only path to stability is continuous return: acknowledge gaps, distribute costs fairly, make alignment ongoing policy.
