The Infant as Epistemic Ground: Pre-Linguistic Prosody, Authentic Signal Detection, and the Displacement Before Language

The infant is the organism before language installed its corruptions. Infant prosody is the purest form of displacement signaling: the infant cannot lie, cannot perform, cannot fake—the cry carries exact information of the displacement. This makes the infant a calibration device for adult empathy, activating the most accurate empathic response by bypassing cognitive filtering that social performance installs.
