mathwerdz

A hidden 8-character equation. 6 guesses. Every guess has to be a real, true equation of its own — you're narrowing it down, not just testing characters.

// the idea

Same shape as Wordle, aimed at arithmetic instead of vocabulary — the genre started with Nerdle (Greg Jorgensen, 2022). The one rule that makes it a math game and not just a matching game: every guess you make has to itself be true. "12+34=46" is a legal guess because it's correct; "12+34=99" isn't, even though it's the right shape — so each guess narrows things down by testing a real equation, not a random string.
