research

Research presents the theory.

One shared framework — a ground state, a cost of drifting from it, a coherence you can compute as an eigenvalue — applied across roughly fifty short notes and six formal papers, then built into instruments you can run on yourself. This page is the argument: what is claimed, what has been tested, and what has not been yet. Start with the dictionary if a term looks unfamiliar; it’s short. If you want the pieces themselves rather than the argument they make, the archive is here.

papersformal, citable

The six papers with a DOI — the load-bearing math. Ground state, displacement cost, coherence as a Fiedler value, the joint-coherence theorem, and the two most recent tests against real data.

principlesthe claims, argued

The claims this work stands on, each one able to be wrong, and the working notes that argue for them — a claim from outside literature granted its true kernel, an over-reach corrected, a limit stated. The everyday unit of work here.

dictionaryshared vocabulary

Ground state, displacement, χ, the Fiedler value, return cost — the terms every paper and working note reuses, defined once instead of re-derived from context each time.

instruments — the claims, made touchable

Most of what's above is a claim about a system's dynamics. These run the dynamics in your browser, live, so the claim isn't just read — it's watched happening, on data you generate by using it.

redtooth
two people, two devices, falling into one rhythm over the wire — the coupling claim made touchable
antennae
heat, sound, and motion steering gaze before anything you’d call a decision — reflexive orienting, live
the sandpile
criticality you can touch — avalanches, two boards, heavy tails
recovery time
critical slowing down made visible — poke the well, watch the return
the ceiling
mark cause-claims and observations in your own words — the introspection ceiling, tested on yourself
the surround
velocity is meaningless without a frame — slide the frame, the reading changes
the circle
coupled oscillators locking into coherence — the logic of the circle, live
clarity
the spectral-grammar instrument itself — coherence, displacement, and fragmentation measured on your own writing

More instruments — thirty-some in total — live at the field.

The math itself lives at the framework. Publishing pipeline (Zenodo, DOI-bearing) is coherence-framework.md and its neighbors in research/, using research/zenodo_publish.py.
