Green algae under fibre exit is both a live layer and a biomass chemical store. Charge is growth (OD / dry mass) with lux_exit co-logged. Discharge is a named path with mass or volume out — not silent “free watts.”

dry_harvest

Measured dry harvest

  1. End charge window; record OD_end and/or biomass_end_g
  2. Filter or settle culture; dry to constant weight at documented temperature
  3. Weigh dry mass; write biomass_gain_g and discharge_g in summary
  4. Optional: ash / CHN later — not required for first pass

food_path

Food / feed path (after charge curve exists)

  1. Only strains documented as food/feed appropriate in your jurisdiction
  2. Harvest volume with OD and volume recorded
  3. Process (rinse, dry, incorporate) with mass in/out log
  4. Keep separate from electrical MWh ledger

hold

Hold as living store

  1. Maintain culture under day cycle fibre or lamp
  2. Periodic OD samples as SoC proxy
  3. Discharge later via dry_harvest or food_path
